Peter Parker Rush  b. 7 Nov 1823, Marion County, Mo. Married 29 Dec. 1846 in Buchanan Mo.
According to the 1900 Census, Marion County he was a Farmer. He died 25 February 1906 Marion County, Mo. His father is John Rush 1764-1828.
His mother is Martha “Patsy” Daugherty 1781-1845.  His spouse is Elizabeth Daugherty 1831-1908. She was born St. Clair, Bellville, ILL (This may need some more research)
 

Richard Kirby (1860 Census) (Right next door Dwelling 515) William Bowen age 20; T. P. Bowen age 14(T. P. Bowen is my 3Xs grandfather) William is buried at Greenwood Cemetery, Palmyra

John Stillwell CW # 34718048 (Nephew of Amos Stillwell) Died 17 December, 1905
Martha Belle “Gibson” Stillwell 20 April 1849 and 20 March 1917. John was a private, Co. D; 22 Regt, Mo. Infantry, Mustered at Macon City, Mo. 15 October, 1861. Enlisted 1 August at Hannibal for a term of 3 years then he transferred to Co. C 22nd Regt, Oct 31 Co D and C 22 Mo inf. Private Book Mark 2989C.
 

George Muther, Sergeant, Union Cavalry, Missouri Volunteers, 3rd Regiment Box-61 S00825. Captain Lemon, Enlisted 7 Feb. 1862, Hannibal, Mo Mustered in Palmyra, MO 20 Feb 1862. Discharged 11 May, 1863, Ironton, Mo. Disability age 35. He is at Rush but has a nice stone. He Married Francisca Schutz (Schultz) 20 Dec 1857 Pension records his spouse as Francis Muther.
       
George Muther had two children;  Julia "Moodie" married to William M. Bowen and Henry "Moodie" who married Mary Agnes Nickles, who was a sister to Anna Katherine Nickles,
        wife of my great grandfather, Joseph Schultz, the daughter-in-law of George Schultz of the Rush Cemetery.

    Note. Alvadore Gibson married Stephen Decatur Bowen’s daughter Eldora K. He is named on the cemetery board in 1912.


Jesse Armstrong
(1818-14Jan 1888 has a Civil War Headstone and it needs to be cleaned (He is my 3xs great Grandfather) and father of Ida May Armstrong-Bowen-Gibson-Gaskill. He served in Illinois and Missouri. Jesse was in Co. E 2nd Regiment.  cert # 337018
Jesse James Armstrong is his son and Ida Gaskill’s brother FAG # 19732353
Harry Armstrong is also Ida’s brother FAG #  34629140

 

Barnhard Resa 30 Oct 1843- 16 March 1916
He was born in Germany. Wife is Mercy Lucas- Resa according to the pension records.He enlisted 1 February 1863 and discharged 16 June 1865 Barnhard was a private in the Union army, Illinois Cavalry, Regiment 14, Company K.  He was taken prisoner and held at the Andersonville, Georgia. He survived!
