Date of Original 25 October 1935
Date of Digital 19 October 2003
Description HANNIBAL, MO - Any one of these contestants could be Huckleberry Finn but only one is chosen, Harold Timmerman representing Burlington, Iowa (beneath the "RY" sign of the Huckleberry Finn railroad car's plaque). The other contestants, in no particular order, are Paul Calloway, Jack Torter, Billy Thomas, Jack Kendall, Bill Kendall, Brice Carson, Eugene Logan, Shelby Lee Ward, William Edward Meadows, Earl Dunbar, and William Greenville. The two local entrants, Earl Dunbar and William Greenville, are actually ambassadors for the event, making them ineligible to enter the actual contest.
